Canada Packers’ Brenda York Food Clinic, with its staff of Home Economists, is constantly searching for new recipes, and new ways to serve the Company’s foods. These precautions ensure uniformly good products which may be purchased at all times with complete confidence. Canada Packers are, however, also conscious that housewives are interested in making their housekeeping dollars go as far as possible. So everything possible is done to hold costs of production and distribution to a minimum. With economy in mind Canada Packers plants have been located in major producing areas from the Pacific to the Atlantic. Their geographical distribution enables the Company to serve every community in Canada with fresh products at the lowest possible transportation cost. The plants are equipped with the latest in labour saving devices, and enjoy the advantages of large scale production and experienced management, thus narrowing the spread between the cost of raw materials and the prices it is necessary to ask for finished products. These prices are not, of course, in all cases lower than prices asked for competitive brands, but quality considered they do offer the best value. In some cases, as with New Domestic Shortening or Maple Leaf Soap Flakes, the Company’s products enjoy the advantage of markedly superior quality, yet sell at lower prices than those of comparable competitive brands.
