TUNA BAKE — CHEESE SWIRLS 1 tspe salt 1/2 ce chopped green pepper, optional 1 med. chopped onion 3 T. fat 1/2 ce flour Pisn Linda DeJong 1 can chicken rice soup 1 1/2 ce milk 2 sme. cans tuna 3 tspe lemon juice Cook pepper and onion in fat until golden. Add salt and flour and blend. Add soup and milk, cook until sauce is thick. Add flaked tuna and lemon juice. dish and top with cheese swirls. for 20 minutes. CHEESE SWIRLS FOR TUNA BAKE: 2 ce sifted flour 1/2 tspe salt 2/3 ce milk Pour into greased baking Bake in hot oven (425° F.) 6 tsp. baking powder 4 T. shortening 1/4 c. cheese, grated Sift dry ingredients and cut in shortening, add milk gradually and mix until dough forms a ball. Roll out dough with rolling pin and sprinkle on grated cheese. Roll up like a pinwheel and slice. Place on top of tuna bake. TUNA RICE CASSEROLE (7 oze) can flaked tuna 1/2 ce cooked rice Te. butter T. flour 3/4 ce milk tspe salt Combine tuna and rice. m mM Bm M PR FF Johanna VanVeen 1/8 tspe pepper 1/4 tspe paprika Dash of cayenne l ce grated Cheddar cheese 3 hard boiled eggs 2 sprigs parsley Make a white sauce of butter, flour and milk. Add salt, pepper, paprika, cayenne and cheese; blend well. Add tuna mixture and 2 chopped eggs. Cover and bake 30 minutes at 325° F.
