CARROT CAKE 2c. sugar 2c. flour 1 1/2 ce. cooking oil 3c. grated carrot 1c. walnuts Mrs. 8S. Kenyon 2 tsp. baking powder 2 tsp. baking soda 2 tsp. cinnamon 4 eggs Salt Mix sugar, cooking oil together; add eggs and mix well. Sift flour and measure; add baking powder and soda, cinnamon, and salt to flour and add to previous mixture. Turn into a greased 9x13-inch pan. and carrots and mix. Add walnuts Bake Mix well. at 350 degrees F., for approximately 45 minutes. Frosting: 8 oz. cream cheese, 1/4 lb. butter, 11b. icing sugar, 2 tsp. vanilla. of icing). CRUMB CAKE Part 1 2c. flour 2c. brown sugar 1/2 c. butter (or substitute) Mix well together. (This makes large amount Mrs. Alma Lyons Part 2 1/2 c. flour 3 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 egg, beaten 1c. milk Blend flour, brown sugar & butter to make crumbs. Take out 3/4 cup of crumbs. Sift together remaining flour, baking powder and cinnamon. Add beaten egg to the crumb mixture. Add dry ingredients and milk, alternately to batter. Pour into greased pan, cover with crumbs.
