2-0, ‘flour eee “1/2 c. butter
2/3 c. sugar ’ | 2 eges”
2 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. vanilla

Flour to roll out and bake in oven.

Marshmallow Topping: |
1 c., white sugar 1c. water

Boil until it forms a ball. Soak one pkg. of
pelatine in 1/2 c. cold water. Beat until stiff
enough to stand on cookie. Cover with fine cocoanut.

ORANGE ALMOND ICE-BOX COOKTES

1 c. shortening (half butter, half shortening) ad
1/2 c. white sugar “1/2 ¢. brown sugar
lise 1/2 c. blanched almonds,
23c. flour : cut in slivers

1/2 tsp. soda 1/2 tsp: salt

2 tbsp. orange juice 1 tbsp. orange rind( grated)

Shape into a roll and leave in refrigeretor —
overnight. Slice, then bake in 375 deg. oven until

golden brown. Remove from greased kie sheet onto
