Headlines/July 8, 1998 Twenty students win writing awards The judges culled through over 70 student entries in 18 categories to find the winners of this year’s Writing Across the Curriculum awards. The 20 winners received their prizes at the annual : Awards ceremony June 17. “The contest celebrates and supports student writing from all levels and disciplines, by offering prizes of $100 in each of several categories,” said Vicki Grieve, this year’s committee chair. The contest is funded through generous donations from the senior management group, the Faculty and Staff Association and the Communications department.
