For an unpleasant odor in your refrigerator, wash and
clean thoroughly then place a saucer full of used
coffee grounds on the top ledge. The odor will disappear.

Iced tea or coffee is greatly improved if the ice cubes
are made of coffee or tea instead of water.

You can avoid cloudiness in iced tea by letting the
{ freshly made tea cool slowly at room temperature before
; putting it in the refrigerator.

| When making bread crumbs from stale bread, place the

i slices on a board, cover them with a towel or a plastic
or paper bag and roll them with a rolling pin. The towel
i or bag will keep the dry crumbs from scattering all over
| the kitchen.

For a new taste to oatmeal cookies, add a small amount
of grated orange peel to the next batch.

| Use scissors to cut marshmallows into small pieces,
| dipping the scissors into hot water frequently to pre-
vent sticking.

] For a different sundae, melt some caramels with a little
i cream in the top of a double boiler. Pour the sauce over
i the ice cream.

i For an icing variation, grate some orange rind into
1 sifted confectioners sugar and add enough orange juice
| to make a consistency that will spread evenly.

For quick repairs to inflateable plastic toys, use the
plastic electrical tape.

| When boiling eggs, add about 1 tbsp. salt per quart of
| water. Eggs won't leak and peel easier.

| When freezing bread or buns, brush top with butter as
| soon as they come out of the oven. This prevents the
| crust from coming off.
