DANGERFIELD 1 quart (2 boxes) strawberries 1 scant cup sugar 3 tbsp. cornstarch Baked pie shell 1 cup water Mash 1 pint berries, add sugar and cornstarch which have previously been mixed together. Cook until thick and smooth, stirring constantly. Continue cooking until there is no taste of cornstarch. Arrange remaining berries in baked shell. Pour mixture over top. Serve with whipped cream. SOUR CREAM PIE By MRS. J. A. REID 1 cup sour cream 1% tsp. salt 34 cup sugar %y tsp. cloves 4 cup raisins 1 tsp. cinnamon Cook in double-boiler until it coats spoon, then put in cooked pie shell, cover with stiffly beaten egg whites.
