DESSERTS COLORED WHIPPED CREAM Here is a way to color, flavor, sweeten and make the whipped cream stay "up". Whip one cup whipping cream until just stiff. Add 1/4 cup icing sugar and 2 tablespoons jelly powder. Beat until blended and jelly powder has dissolved. - Le. Van Druten. QUICK RAISIN PUDDING cup sifted flour tsp. baking powder tsp. salt tsp. sugar tbsp. shortening cup raisins cup milk cup brown sugar tbsp. butter 1 3/4 cups boiling water oo. 11) Thoroughly grease a casserole (1 1/2 quart). SUNKIST LEMON ICEBOX PIE 1 small can evaporated milk 2 eggs l tbsp. grated lemon peel 1/3 cup fresh lemon: juice 1/2 cup sugar Spiced crumbs Pour milk into ice-cube tray and chill until crystals start to form. Separate eggs. Mix yolks with sugar, lemon juice and grated peel. - Beat egg whites stiff, then lightly mix in yolk mixture. Turn chilled milk into bowl, beat stiff and carefully fold in egg mixture. Pour into ice-cube tray lined with spiced crumbs. Swirl top, decorate with lemon peel twists & freeze. Serves 6 sa 8. Spiced Crumbs: To 3/4 cup crisp toast crumbs add 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1/2 tsp. nutmeg, 1/4 tsp. ground cloves, 1/4 tsp.. ginger. Mix well. Work in 3 tbsp. melted butter.
