STRAWBERRY GLAZE PIE Joan Quarry 1 baked pie shell Pinch of salt 1c. strawberry juice 3 Tbsp. cornstarch 3/4 c. sugar 2 or more cups fresh strawberries To make strawberry juice, take 1 c. berries, crush and add water to make 1c. Simmer 3 minutes, Strain. Add water to make 1c. juice. Cook strawberry juice, sugar, corn- starch and salt, stirring constantly until thick. Place washed drained berries in pie shell and coat with glaze, turning berries as you glaze them. Chill 2-3 hours. Serve topped with whipped cream. CHERRY PIE Mrs. G. McGregor 1 pkg. cherry Jell-O Whipping Cream 1 can cherries Mix Jell-O as instructions on pkg. using juice from cherries as part of the liquid. Put cherries in bottom of glass pie plate, just cover with Jell-O mixture and put in the refrig- erator to set. Set remaining Jell-O until just firm then beat to a froth. Spread over cherries and Jell-O in the pie plate and return to refrigerator. Spread with whipped cream before serving. You may use any combination of fruit and Jell-O. BINKS CHERRY CHEESE PIE Mrs. Kay Owens Crust: Filling: 6 Tbsp. icing sugar 4 oz. Dream Whip 1/4 c. melted butter or 8 oz. Philadelphia cream margarine cheese 1-1/4 c. graham crackers 1 tin cherry pie filling (fine crumbs) Mix all together. Press into 9x9-inch pan to form a crust. Press some up sides and chill. Prepare Dream Whip according to package and set aside. Soften cheese in bowl by beating. Combine Dream Whip and cheese and mix to smooth consistency. Spoon into crust.
