Put in ik yee Gh gg pan or two 8" pans. Bake at 350°F. for 30 to 35 minutes. FROSTING 1/2 cup soft margarine 2 1/2 cups icing sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 2 tbsp. cream Cream margarine, add vanilla. Add icing sugar and cream alternately and beat at high speed with an electric mixer until fluffy. NEVER FAIL CHOCOLATE CAKE (can be stirred up in minutes) 11/2 cups sifted flour 1/2 tsp.’ salt 3 tbsp. cocoa 5 tbsp. oil 1 tsp. soda 1 tbsp. vinegar 1 cup sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 1 cup cold water Sift flour, cocoa, soda, sugar and salt into a mixing bowl. Now you make three holes in this dry mixture. [Into one, pour the oil; into the next, the vinegar; into the third the vanilla. Now pour the cold water over it, mix together and opeat it with a spoon until its nearly smooth. Bake at 350°F. for half an hour. Frost it with the following sugar topping: 4 tbsp. softened butter 2/3 cup brown sugar 2 tbsp. cream Chopped nuts or coconut (as much as you want to have) Set the cake back in the oven for five minutes, or until the frosting bubbles.
