16. Noel Sugar Cookies

a. butter 1 t. almond extract

1 C. icing sugar 1 t. cream of tartar
3 eggs 3 5 C. fleur

Cream butter, oil, add sugar and icing sugar, cream -
and add eggs. Beat until fluffy. Add vanilla and
almond extract. Add salt, soda, cream of tartar,
flour to creamed mixture gradually. Form into small
balls and press with glass dipped in ugar: Bake
for 15 minutes “at 350°F.

17. Oatmeal Shortbread Sticks

1c. but feB7? «> #1 2c. sifted flour
3/4 C. brown sugar, packed 1 CC. rolled oats
1 t. almond extract .

Cream butter, sugar and almond extract well. Add
flour and rolied oats and mix well with spoon and
then with hands. Pat or roll dough % inchthick or
less. Cut into strips about 2" x 3/4" wide. Put
on baking sheet and sprinkle with sugar if desired.
Bake at 350° for 15 minutes or - ‘qrerl lightly browned.
