The occupied three days and created much interest, particularly as the prosecution was on circumstantial evidence. Revell was accused of set- ting fire to his house, 814 Lorne street Kamloops, on May 24 last, to secure in- surance money. His attempt, miscar- ried however, for the fire was discoy- ered early and put out before much damage was done. The firemen found a lighted candle set on a small bit of wood and surrounded by kindling, un- der the staircase and the next day a bit of charred wood, similar to that found under the stair, was discovered in the garret. Following inyestigation by the provincial fire marshall, Revell was arrested. ‘ Under a search warrant the home of the accused at Abbotsford was search- ed and two larger bits of wood similar to the piece found under the stair was discovered. Pieced together these fit- ted exactly and were believed to have formerly been one piece. Upon arrival in Kamloops on th morning of May 24 Revell went straight fro mthe C.
