The Director of the Commercial Fisheries Branch of the
Department of Recreation and Conservation hopes that you will
have found this little guide useful. The Branch is ready and
willing to give any help it can to assist the sportsman and the
shellfish industry. It is everyone’s concern to ensure that they
take only as much seafood as they need. Don’t spoil other peo-
ple’s enjoyment by leaving nothing for them or by taking home
a surplus over and above your own requirements and giving it
away to friends or allowing it to spoil. Your friends probably
