JAMES 2 ripe bananas 2 unbeaten egg whites 1 cup sugar Almond flavoring lg tsp. salt Whipped cream Put bananas through potato ricer then add sugar, salt and unbeaten egg whites. Beat until stiff then add % tsp. almond flavoring. Fill pie shell. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes. Chill thoroughly and top with whipped cream. ENGLISH BUTTER TARTS By MRS. ANNE DYER 1 cup brown sugar 1 tbsp. cream 1 cup currants 1 large tbsp. melted butter 1 egg ° Vanilla Beat sugar and egg. Add currants, butter cream and vanilla. Put in un- baked tart shells. Bake 375 degrees about 15 minutes. HEAVENLY PIE By MRS. F. W. SHEPPARD 3 egg whites 1 tsp. vanilla 4 level tbsp. cornstarch Salt 34 cup sugar 1 tsp. almond flavoring 1% cup cold water Cook cornstarch, salt, % cup sugar, and water until it boils, then place in double boiler and cook from 8 to 10 minutes. Beat 3 egg whites stiffly to stand in peaks. Add scant % cup sugar. Beat well. Add 1 tsp. almond flavoring and one tsp. vanilla. Add the hot mixture to the beaten egg whites. Pour into baked pie shells.
