King 1-1/2 lbs ground beef 2 slices bread, chopped fine 1 egg salt, pepper & parsley to taste 2 tbsps ketchup 4 to 6 finely chopped sweet pickles 1 tbsp dry mustard 1 small onion, chopped fine. 1/2 to 3/4 cup evaporated milk Method: Combine all ingredients in a bowl, place in a loaf pan, bake at 325° for 1-1/2 hours LASAGNE ESPANOL — Pat Helms 3 cups water 1 lb ground beef 1 tbsp chili powder 2 oz jar pimento 1 pkg Lawrie’s Taco mix 4 oz can mushrooms, drained 1 tsp salt 2 80o0zcans tomato sauce 2-1/4 oz sliced olives, drained 2 60z cans tomato paste 3/4 lb cheddar cheese, shredded _1 med. onion, chopped 1 lb pkg Lasagne noodles. 1/2 green pepper, chopped Brown meat, drain, add onion, pepper, pimento, mushrooms. Stir in tomato sauce, paste, water, taco mix, chili powder and salt. Cover and simmer one hour. Add olives last 10 minutes of cooking. Cook lasagne. In 13” x 9” x 2” pan put a little sauce in bottom, then lasagne, then cheese. Repeat layers, ending with cheese. Cover with foil. Bake 30 minutes at 325°. BEEF INTERNATIONALE — Lesia Minarik Cut 2 lbs of round steak in thin strips and brown in 2 tbsps margarine. Add 2 medium onions thinly sliced, 2 green peppers cut in strips, and 1/2 cup water. Cover and simmer 30 minutes adding more water if necessary. Add 10 oz can of condensed cream of celery soup combined with 1/4 cup Miracle Whip and 1 can of sliced drained mushrooms. Season to taste. Heat, stirring occasionally. Serves 6 to 8. 35
