SAVORY BACON CHEESE PIE Esther Corry Pastry: 1 c. all purpose flour 1/3 c. shortening 1/3. tape: eat 3 2 to 3 tbsp. cold water 1/3 tsp. garlic salt Sift flour and salts together. Cut in shortening to size of small peas. Sprinkle in cold water while tossing with fork. Press together. Chill 10 min. Roll to fit 9" pie plate. Fillings: . 6 slices fried bacon 1/8 tsp. black pepper 3 oz. sliced Swiss cheese 4 beaten eggs 1 tbsp. all purpose flour 1 tbsp. grated onion 1/4 tsp. salt 1-7/3 c. evaporated milk Crumble fried bacon in unbaked pie shell. Cover with cheese slices. Combine flour and sessonings. G radually add milk. Add beaten eggs. B lend well and stir ingrated onions. Pour into pie shell. : Bake at 400F 25/30 min. Garnishwith bacon strips. Serves 5/6.
