Seeded Raisins Juice and Rind of 4% Lemon 21% cups Cold Water 3 tablespoons Benson’s Corn 1 cup Light Brown Sugar Starch 2 tablespoons Mazola pur raisins and water into sauce pan and SIMMER twenty minutes, then add sugar, Mazola, and lemon juice and grated rind. Mix corn starch with little water and thicken above mixture. Roll the cookie batter out thin, cut size desired, fill -baking sheet and then put one teaspoon of filling on each cookie and cover with another, making a Fruit Sandwich. Bake on temperature 400°. These cookies improve with age, the fruit and Mazola keeping them moist. Chopped figs may be substituted for filling if desired, or strawberry pre- serves are also delicious.
