Drain. Boil vinegar and spices, etc., add drained vegetables and boil for 10 minutes. Put in hot jars and seal. Mrs. O. Leippi CUCUMBER RELISH 7 large cucumbers, peeled 4 large onions Put all through food chopper, sprinkle with salt and let stand overnight. Next day, drain and make a dressing as follows: 21/2 c. white strong l tsp. ginger vinegar 1/2 c. flour 2c. hot water 11/2 tsp. turmeric 3c. sugar 3 Tbsp. mustard 1/2 tsp. paprika Mix and boil 5 minutes, add cucumbers and onions and boil another 5 minutes. Fill in jars and seal. Mrs. John Schaefer FRUIT CHILI 12 large peaches 3c. sugar ‘12 large pears 1 qt. vinegar 6 small onions 3 tsp. ginger 2 sweet red peppers 3 tsp. salt 15 firm tomatoes l tsp. paprika Prepare vegetables and fruit, then chop fine.
