TRETHEWEY, President PHONE 10 The picture above shows the new office building and show- rooms in the foreground while be- hind, towering above the familiar plant on the Royal City riverfront, is a new six-storey factory unit. Two economic advantages of the Fraser river site are also iKustrat- ed, the tracks of four railway lines, CNR, CPR, GNR, BCER, showing at the right of the plant and the company’s own six-lot wharfage in front, part of the || facilities of “Canada’s fastest- growing seaport.” NEW WAREHOUSE The new two-storey office build- ing, measuring 66 feet by 50 feet, has been attractively finished with maple floors, panelled walls, in- sulated ceiling and modernistic lighting. Teleph 5661 OCTOBER FLOWER GARDEN This is a busy month. Take up all dahlias, canas, fuchias, geran- iums, before frost kills them. All beds and borders should be dug up, and get in all your tulips, daf- fodils, crocus, snowdrops by the end of the month. Lawns should still be mown and edged and all rubbish cleaned up. Wihere new work or alterations are planned, now is the time to start. Trees and shrubs may be moved and planted by the end of the month while there is still warmth in the ground. Evergreens are better planted in fall than spring. Perennials wil soon be over and ready to be dug up and old compost scattered be- tween the plants. Clean up all rubbish and leaves, »—T. Preece.
