PINK GARTER COCKTAIL The white of 1 egg, 1 teaspoonful grenadine, 1 of lemon juice, 1 of sweet cream, 2/3 glassful dry gin, ice. Shake well. —Jack Bell PRAIRIE OYSTER COCKTAIL Two dashes vinegar, yolk of 1 egg, 1 teaspoonful Worcester- shire sauce, 1 teaspoonful tomato catsup, dash pepper on top. No ice. Add _ garnish. —Jack Leckie REMSEN COOLER Pound the rind of a lemon in a drink of gin (notice a drink, not a gill or a noggin or some other measure), this allows one to take as little or as much gin as they like. Use a tall glass with some ice, fill up with soda water. —Chick Studd ROSS SPECIAL One-third port, 1/3 creme de cocoa, 1/3 Cognac, 1 pony fresh cream. Shake in cracked ice. Strain and serve in 4 oz. modern champagne glasses. —Bob Bidlake RUM PUNCH (Everybody’s Friend) For each person put into the punch bowl a good portion of rum, the juice of % lemon, sugar and, if possible, a sprig of rose- mary. Add a few pieces of lemon, cutting up those you have used for the juice and sufficient boiling water. Stir well and see that the punch is hot enough before serving. —A. B.
