It had been planned to hold plowing matches in the district in November of this year but owing to the lack of enthusiasm, those present at the meeting decided to drop the matter for one year. Another meeting has been called for Sept- ember, 1946, and if sufficient support for a revival of old-time plowing matches is not shown at that time, the association will disband. President of the organization, J. Murphy, presided as chairman. Secretary-Treasurer L. J. Kettle reported a cash balance of $141 in the Association’s treasury. With Charles Hayes of Abbotsford, he left by car recently for the interior and the two men expect to be away a- bout a month.
