Apple Cake Pes

Mix togethers

1 cup white sugar — 1/2 tsp. salt

1 cup mazola oil | 2 1/2 cups flour

1 tsp. vanilla 2 tsp. baking powder
2 eggs

Press one-half mixture into a 13 x 9 inch pan. Over this pour
one can Sun Rype Apple pie filling. Dot with butter and
sprinkle with cinnamon. Crumble remaining batter on top and
sprinkle with flaked almonds. Pat gently with hand. Bake-35_
to 45 minutes at 350 degrees. Serve warm with a dab of whip
cream or ice cream.

Banana Cake = | ' Bs Howey
1/4 cup butter | oe 1 tsp. baking powder
1 egg | Ces get vanilla

1 cup white sugar , ' salt
1 3/4 cups flour | a

Mix together:

1 tsp. soda ' 1/4 cup boiling water
1 cup mashed bananas

Cream butter, egg and sugar together and then add flour, bak- _
ing powder, vanilla and salt, finally banana mixture. Bake at”
450 degrees until done.

1 cup butter 1 cup flour |

1 cup sugar 3 1 tsp. soda

21/2 cups oatmeal salt

Divide dough in two parts. Pat one in bottom of pan. Pour
over this filling which has been boiled until thick.

1 cup dates 1/3 cup milk
1/2 cup sugar 1 tbsp. butter

Pat over top the rest of dough. Bake at 450 degrees for 45
minutes. Cut while warm.
