CELERY APPLE SALAD | pkg. cherry-flavored jello Y2 cup chopped walnuts YZ cup red cinnamon candies 1 cup hot water 1 cup chopped pared apples Y2 cup boiling water 1 cup chopped celery Dissolve jello in } cup hot water. Add cinnamon candies to YQ cup boiling water; stir to dissolve. Add enough water to make 1 cup liquid. Add to dissolved jello. Cool until partially set. Add remaining ingredients. Pour into mold. Chill until firm. HOT CROSS BUNS Y2 cup lukewarm water Y2 cup soft butter 2 tsp. sugar 2 eggs 2 pkg. dry yeast 1 cup currants Y2 cup lukewarm milk 1 tsp. cinnamon ¥%4 cup mashed potatoes 2 tsp. nutmeg Y2 cup sugar 4 cups sifted all-purpose flour 1 tsp. salt Measure water into mixing bowl. Add 2 tsp. sugar and stir to dissolve. Sprinkle yeast over water and let stand i minutes. Stir well. Add milk, potatoes, 2 cup sugar, salt, butter, eggs, cur- rants, spices and half of flour. Mix until smooth. Add enough re- maining flour to make dough easy to handle. Mix with hand. Turn out on lightly-floured board and knead until smooth. Let rise in warm place until double (about 1 hour in 85 degrees). Punch down. Shape into 32 buns, and place 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet. Let rise until double (one hour).
