cipated a shortage of farm labor

A meeting of Poplar Local of
the Pacific Coast Poultry Produc-
ers’ Association will be held in
Poplar Community Hall on Wed-
nesday, July 2, at 8 p.m. Purpose
of the meeting is to consider cer-
tain proposals that have been ad-
vanced regarding the marketing of
sunplus eggs. Similar meetings are
being held by all Locals of the
Association.

AT AUCTION

Horses brought a varied range
of prices at the Dennis Auction
Mart on Saturday, Low price was
$21 against. $50 high. Fresh cows
fetched from $35 to $80 and young
stock, $13.50 to $42. Beef cows
sold from $25 to $51 and calves
iwent at $1 to $14.50.

Weaner pigs brought $3.20 to
$5.20; butcher hogs, $14 to $21.50,
and sows, $27.50 to $32.50.

Poultry prices were: Bernevelder
cockerels 50c% to 80c. leghorn
cockerels, 31c to 38c; poultry, 50c
to 80c; ducks 52c.
