asss « HARD CANDY 2 cups granulated sugar one tsp. flavoring, you may 1 cup white syrup use oil of wintergreen, clove, 1 cup water cinnamon, anice or peppermint. Mix together in pan and place on highest heat. Cook to hard crack on candy thermometer. Remove from heat. Add coloring and oil flavoring (one tsp. flavoring). Stir very quickly and pour into well greased pan 11x9. Place in a cool place and allow to cool until you can handle it. Cut into strips with scissors. Drop into container of confectioners sugar.
