CASSEROLES, ONE DISH MEALS CASSEROLE DINNER 1/4 c. chopped onion biscuit dough 2 Tbsp. chopped green 2 Tbsp. butter pepper 1 Tbsp. chopped parsley 1 lb. ground beef 2 Tbsp. flour ltsp. salt and pepper 1/2 c. water 2 beef bouillon cubes, dissolved Saute onion, pepper and parsley, add and brown lightly the ground beef. Sprinkle over meat mixture with flour, add bouillon cubes and 1/2 cup water; simmer until thickens. Cool and spread on rolled out biscuit dough, rolled 1/4 inch thick and 6 inches wide. Roll up as a jelly roll, slice into | inch pieces. Bake on a cookie sheet in a 400 degree oven for about 20 minutes. BAKED BEANS 1 lb. beans and water 3 Tbsp. catsup to cover 1/4 tsp. dry mustard l tsp. baking soda 2 to 3 dashes Worcestershire 1/4 c. brown sugar sauce 1 Tbsp. molasses 1 small onion, diced ltsp. salt 1 stalk celery, diced dash pepper 1/4 lb. salt pork Soak beans overnight. Drain. Add water and baking soda and boil 10 minutes; drain. Add rest of ingredients and hot water to cover. Cook at 250 to 270 degrees for 7 to 8 hours. Anita Fiset CABBAGE ROLLS 1 1/2 c. rice, washed ltsp. salt 1 lb. sausage or hamburger 1/2 tsp. black pepper meat 1 medium head cabbage 1/2 small onion, chopped and sauteed in lard Soak cabbage in boiling water until leaves peel off and soft enough to roll 2 tablespoons of rice and meat mixture; roll up in nice small rolls, tucking ends of cabbage in firmly.
