Mrs. Irene Swietzer FLUFFY WHITE FROSTING 1 1/2 c. granulated sugar 1/4 c. cold water 1 Tbsp. corn syrup 1 Tbsp. lemon juice 2 egg whites 1/2 tsp. grated orange rind Place all ingredients except rind in double boiler. Beat with beater or electric mixer over boiling water until frosting will hold a soft peak 5 to 7 minutes. Remove from heat. Add rind. Continue to heat until frosting will hold a fairly firm peak. Northern Dairies 1 unbeaten egg yolk butter, soft 2-21/4c. sifted icing sugar few grains salt 2 Tbsp. orange juice 2 Tbsp. grated orange rind 1 Tbsp. lemon juice Blend ingredients in order given alternating the sugar and juice. The more this frosting is beaten the fluffier it becomes. Add enough sugar to make the frosting thick enough it can be "patterned" on the cake. Delicious on any light cake.
