Instant Coffee Jars make good vases when you take
flowers to friends in hospital.

To keep pancakes hot, spread them out on a plate or
cookie sheet. Cover with a tea towel. Place in a pre-
heated moderate oven while the rest are being cooked.

Use an ice cream scoop to measure out hamburger meat.
In this way they are all the same size and shape.

Keep electric light bulbs clean by wiping them off
frequently and they will last longer.

Give an old shower cap or plastic dish cover to your
youngster for an excellent rainy day bicycle seat cover.

When washing plastic shower curtains or tablecloths, add
a cup of vinegar to the rinse water and the plastic will
dry soft and pliable.

Dried orange and grapefruit peels and rinds are good for
fuel in a fireplace and also give off a lovely aroma.

To eliminate the possibility of shock from a damp con-
crete floor, place a rubber mat in front of the fuse
box in your basement.

To remove the bitterness from cucumbers, cut off the
end of the cucumber and rub the two cut surfaces
together.

For individual jellied salads, use the cone shaped paper
cups for molds. Oil the cup slightly and drop in a
half olive with the red pimento in the top of the cone. |
Pour in the jelly salad and unmold when needed. |
