HOLIDAY CHICKEN 1 frying chicken - cut up 14, teaspoon thyme 14, cup flour 14 teaspoon pepper 14, cup finely chopped green 1 tin sliced mushrooms onions lf, cup cream 1 tablespoon butter 14, teaspoon chicken bouillon 1 teaspoon salt mix Brown flour in hot pan until golden color. Add seasonings to flour. Saute onions in butter. Drain liquid from mushrooms and reserve liquid. Mix cnions and mushrooms. Mix liquid and cream and dissolved chicken bouillon mix. Dredge chicken pieces in flour mixture and place layer in bottom of buttered two-quart casserole dish. Sprinkle with % of mush- room-onion mixture. Layer remaining chicken in dish. Sprinkle remainder of onions and mushrooms. Pour liquid over all. Cover tightly. Bake in moderate oven (350°F.) for approximately 50 minutes or until tender. Remove cover and bake 15 minutes more.
