LUNCHEON CAKE 2 cup butter l tsp. soda 12 cup shortening 2 cups flour cups sugar tsp. baking powder eggs cup raisins ' tsp. vanilla 1% cup chopped walnuts Y2 tsp. salt 6 maraschino cherries, chopped ] tsp. nutmeg 1 cup flour 1 cup buttermilk or sour milk Cream butter and shortening, add sugar, eggs one at a time, beat well. Add vanilla, salt and nutmeg. Combine the buttermilk and soda, add alternately to creamed mixture with the flour and baking powder. Lastly fold in—raisins, walnuts, cherries and flour which have been mixed together. Bake for one hour in tube pan at 350 degrees.
