Lace Cookies lc. sugar, 5 tsps. butter, 2 eggs, 2% tsps. baking powder, 1 c. cocoanut, 3 c. cornflakes, 1 tsp. vanilla, 1 c. flour. Drop from spoon on greased pan. Bake in a fairly hot oven for five to seven minutes. —Mrs. Hattle. Dream Cake 34 c. butter, % c. white sugar, 2 egg yolks, 1% c. flour, 1 tsp. vanilla. Make into crust and pack into pan, bake 12 mins. Top: Beat 2 egg whites till stiff, add % tsp. b. powder, 1% c. b. sugar, % tsp. salt, 1% c. cocoanut, 11%4 c. walnuts, chopped, tsp. vanilla. Bake about 20 mins. —Mrs. Dosko. Pineapple Squares l. lc. flour, % c. butter, % c. brown sugar. Mix and pat down in pan, 2. 2c. cocoanut, 1c. w. sugar, 1 tbsp. melted butter, 2 eggs. Add sugar and cocoanut to the melted butter, then eggs. Put layer of pineapple on Ist layer, then put 2nd — layer mix on top. Bake for 30 mins. in moderate oven. All juice should be strained from the crushed pineapple. —Mrs. Dosko. Fudge Squares 2 sqs. chocolate, % c. butter, 3 eggs, 1 c. sugar, % tsp. baking powder, % tsp. salt, % c. walnuts, 1 tsp. vanilla. Meit chocolate and butter over hot water, set aside. Beat eggs adding sugar gradually. Mix and sift dry ingredients and add to egg mixture. Fold in nuts and vanilla. Add the chocolate mixture. Spread in shallow pan and bake about ten minutes. cut in strips or squares. —Evelyn Hodgins. Nut Wafers 2 eggs, 1 c. brown sugar, 4 tsp. baking powder, pinch salt, 14 lb. walnuts, 3 tbsps. flour. Beat eggs until light, add sugar, sift in flour, baking powder and salt together. Beat well. Add broken nut meats. Drop by spoonfuls on greased baking sheet. Bake in moderate oven, 350 degrees, for about 10 mins. —Mrs. A. Schroeder. Oatmeal Drop Cookies lc. butter, 1% c. brown sugar, 2 eggs, 1 tsp. soda, % cup walnuts, % cup cocoanut, 1 cup oatmeal, 1 tsp. vanilla, 2 cups flour, 1 lb. dates or raisins. Drop from spoon or roll into balls. Bake about 12 minutes. —Sally Truber.
