THE DAILY PROVINCE DECEMBER 26, 1907 HINDU DRIVEN FROM ALASKA MINING CAMP ------------------Juneau Alaska, Dec. 26--The scores of Hindus who came north expecting to find work in the mines here are leaving, and the white miners will not be discriminated against by the mine owners. The Hindus present a sad lot being ill prepared for the rigors of winter and being without money. They are taking boats for other places in the surrounding district, and will attempt to find work of other kinds.
