These will win a smile, That is really worth while. sone A PIES (Brings a new gleam to the masculine eye) PINEAPPLE PIE Make a custard by cooking in a double boiler: 14 cup sugar 2 tablespoons cornstarch 1 teaspoon salt 114 cups hot milk for 30 to 45 minutes. Pour on 2 beaten egg yolks, and return to boiler to cook the egg. Remove from fire and add 1 cup of drained Pineapple and 14 cup cocoanut. Cool and put in baked pie shells. Beat up the 2 egg whites to make a meringue. Cover the pie with the meringue and brown in oven. Whipped cream may be used to top the filling in place of the egg whites. —Mrs. A. R. Ross.
