BLENDER-CRUMB Bread « Tear one slice of fresh or dry bread into eight pieces, put into OSTERIZER Blender container, cover and process at GRATE until crumbed. This will produce a coarse or medium crumb. The longer the OSTERIZER Blender processes, the finer the crumb will be. For very fine crumbs, process at LIQUEFY. Empty into a mixing bowl or measuring cup and repeat process until desired quantity is obtained. Buttered Bread * Butter the whole slice of bread before putting into OSTERIZER Blender container and follow above procedure. If cheese crumbs are desired, add 14 cup cubed cheese to the pieces of | slice of bread. Crackers, Cookies * Break 7 or 8 crackers or cookies into the OSTERIZER Blender container, cover and process at GRATE until crumbed. The longer the OSTERIZER Blender processes, the finer the crumb will be. Empty into a mixing bowl or measuring cup and repeat process until desired quantity is obtained. RECONSTITUTE Frozen Concentrated Juices * Put water and juice into OSTERIZER Blender con- tainer, cover and process at STIR for a few seconds. Dry Milk « Put water and dry milk powder into the OSTERIZER Blender container, cover and process at STIR until blended. BLENDER-CHOP (water) Large quantities of raw vegetables, such as Cabbage, Onions, Green Peppers, and Potatoes * Cut the vegetable into pieces about | inch in size. Place pieces in OSTER- IZER Blender container (to within 1 inch of top, if desired), cover with cold water. Cover container, push CHOP button and slide the switch to On (Hi) and Off quickly several times until all food has passed through the processing blades. Quickly empty into a colander or strainer. Drain well before using. Carrots are an exception and should be processed at LIQUEFY. BLENDER-CHOP (dry) Raw, Firm Fruits and Vegetables * Cut foods into pieces about 1 inch in size. Put no more than 1 cup into OSTERIZER Blender container, cover, push CHOP button and slide the switch to On (Hi) and Off quickly several times until all pieces are chopped to desired size.
