1 tsp. soda- -

3/h c. candied cherries
1/2 tsp. salt

Beat eggs, udd sugar and beat together..
Heat syrup and dissolve soda in syrup,

butter and add.

2c. brown sugar
T/h tsp. cinnamon
1/4 c. syrup (Karo)
3/4, c. chopped nuts
1 tsp. vanilla

Melt

Add alternately with dry ingredients sifted together.

Add nuts am fruit.
12" pan.

Spread in greased and floured 9" x
Bake at 350 deg. about 30 minutes.

Cool.

Glaze with very thin icing made of powdered sugar and

hot water.

Shits slightly warm cut in squares.

WHITE FRUIT CAKE

1_c.. butter
1% c. white sugar

1 tsp. baking powder

Mix the above together.
beaten stiff. Next add:

1 lb. sultana raisins
1/2 lb. blanched almonds
1/2 c. citron peel

Bake slowly for 2 hrs.
