It was decided to hold the first Whist Drive of the season on Nov. 2. Mrs. Hackett was hos- tess, Red Cross members met in the school on Friday evening to pack for Overseas. In all this year there were 20 parcels, an in- crease of 5 over last year. Re- freshments were served. Mrs. C. Nichols and family of Cloverdale were guests of Mr. and Mrs. H. McDonald last week.
