Compiled By The Ladies of The Porcupine Plain Hospital Aid MACARONI AND CHEESE 1 cup uncooked macaroni % cup bread crumbs % cup melted butter 1% tsps. salt 1 cup grated cheese . 3 egg yolks (well beaten) 3 egg whites (well beaten) 142 cups scaled milk Cook macaroni until tender and drain. Combine crumbs, butter, salt and cheese; add milk, egg yolks and macaroni. Blend well, then fold in egg whites. Cook in greased casserole set in a pan of hot water, 45-50 minutes. ONION STUFFING 3. or 6 med. onions Y% cup butter salt and pepper _ 2% cups bread crumbs 1 egg or 2 yolks Seasoning used with poul- try. Put the onions into boiling water for 10 to 15 minutes, then take them out and chop fine; add other ingredients; season to CABBAGE ROLLS Put together in mixing bowl: % lb. hamburger l1small onion (finely chopped) 1 cup uncooked rice Salt and pepper to taste Mix well and let stand. (This is the filling for the cabbage leaves.) If you have sauerkraut leaves use them. If not, use fresh cabbage. Pour boiling water over it to cover and let stand until wilted or limp enough to make into rolls. If you want large rolls use the leaf as it is; if you want small ones cut the leaves. Make the rolls one by one and pack into casserole. Pour 1 or 2 tins of tomato juice and about 4 tbsps. vinegar over rolls. Worcester sauce —Mae Erickson, t tsp, sage Porcupine Plain. 4 tbsps. flour Y% cup milk TUNA FISH CASSEROLE 1 egg 1 box potato chips 1 can tuna fish 1 tin mushroom soup Place .a layer of potato chips in a casserole dish, then add a layer of tuna fish, then a layer of mushroom soup. Repeat these layers until casserole dish is filled. Bake in a moderate oven for 1 hour.
