Buttermilk Fruit Cake Ingredients: 14 cup softened butter; 14% cups brown sugar. Beat. 1% cups butter- milk; 2 teaspoonfuls soda dissolved in the milk; a little nutmeg and spice to taste (I like about half a teaspoonful each of Malkin’s Best cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg); 3 cups raisins, floured, a little vanilla, and some like citron peel (I do not).
