Flat Cookies (Flat Kokur) £ C. white flour 3 T. brown sugar 3/4 c. graham flour 1% t. baking powder * t. salt | apprex. 1 C. boiling water Mix all ingredients well and add enough boiling water to make a soft dough. Roll into a flat circle to cover bottom of heavy frying pan. Add a pat of butter. Prick the cake all over with a fork. Cook at medium heat for 15 minutes, turn and cook other side. 22. Flat Bread (Flatbraud) 1c. rye flour | -% t. soda 1 c. white flour * tt. Sart * C. cracked wheat 1 Cc. boiling water Mix dry ingredients in a bowl and form a well. Pour in boiling water and stir rapidly. This will be a fairly stiff dough. Roll flat about & to & inch thick. Fry.on a very hot griddle or just on top of burner. Use a small amount of grease.
