SOUR CREAM CHOCOLATE CAKE

1 cup white sugar l teasp- vanilla

2 eggs 5 cup cocoa (dissolved

% teasp. salt in % cup boiling water

l teasp. soda -set aside to cool)

1 cup sour cream (thick) 14 cups all purpose flour ~

Beat eggs, add sugar gradually beating well be-
tween additions. Add salt. Add cream in which
soda has been dissolved. Then add cocoa and
vanilla. Beat well. Gradually add flour. Bake
in moderate oven (about 350 degrees) until done.

SALAD DRESSING CHOCOLATE CAKE

2 cups flour 1 cup mayonnaise

1 cup sugar 1 cup cold water ee
2 teasp. baking powder pinch of salt a

4 tbls. cocoa

Beat all together well and bake 1 hour at
350 degrees. If a spice cake is desired, omit
cocoa and add 2 teaspoons cinnamon, 2 teaspoons
allspice, 2 teaspoons cloves and 1 teaspoon nut-
meg and follow recipe.
