THE DAILY PROVINCE MARCH 2, 1908 TEST CASE OF HINDUS NOW AT VICTORIA. ------------------Provincial Government Has Consented to Action Suggested by Dominion Government. ------------------Victoria, March 2.--(Special.)--The Dominion Government officials intend to release three Hindus now in detention here for the purpose of testing the Natal Act in a friendly way, and they have requested the provincial Government to arrest the race(?) as soon as they are liberated. The Dominion has advised the provincial Government that in order to bring the Natal Act to a showdown in the case of the Hindus the federal authorities will provide counsel for the Hindus in the fight. The provincial Government has consented to do as suggested in order to determine the moot point of the effectiveness of the Natal Act as against the Hindus.
