1 cup butter

2 cups flour

Rub together and press in pan. Brown in slow oven.

1 20 oz. tin crushed pineapple

1 cup white sugar

Heat and thicken with:

4 tbsp. corn starch mixed with
some of the pineapple’ juice

2 egg yolks Spread on crust and let
1 tbsp. butter cool before putting mer-

ingue on top
Meringue:

2 egg whites beaten jl tsp. baking powder
1 cup white sugar 1 cup cocoanut
1 tsp. vanilla

Pour over filling and brown in slow oven.

1/2 cup brown sugar 1 cup flour

1 tbsp. butter 1 tsp. baking powder

1 egg milk 3 |

Bake in layer tin. When done spread with jam. Pour boiled
custard over all. | |

2 cups scalded milk 1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 egg yolks . ee ee as pinch of salt
1/4 cup sugar

Beat yolks slightly, add sugar and salt. Stir constantly
while gradually adding hot milk. Cook in double boiler until
mixture coats spoon. Chill and add flavoring.
