LINOLEUM To clean linoleum without washing, remove all dust. then take a piece of flannel sprinkled with paraffin and rub over the linoleum. This not only makes it appear like new, but preserves the linoleum, To clean linoleum, wash it with warm soapv water. but do not use a scrubbing brush; rinse and dry thoroughly, then pol'sh. The life of linoleum may be prolonged and preserved by an occasional rub with a rag dipped in olive oil. Linoleum that has lost its original bright appearance can be restored by rubbing lightly and evenly with a piece of beeswax. Polish afterwards with a piece of flannel that has been warmed in the oven. LINT To remove lint from sweater brush with a clean sponge. Lint on sweaters can be removed by shaving the sweaters so to speak with a safety razor. Wrap a piece of scotch tape around the back of your hand (stick side out) and rub the sweater with this to remove lint. To remove fluff from nylon sweaters rub them lightly with fine sandpaper. To keep clothes lint free, add % cup of vinegar to the rinse water. For lint on corduroy put in a dryer; or bury the corduroy in the snow; or use a damp sponge. LIPSTICK Sponge the spot with carbon tetrachloride, then wash in warm suds. Rub stain with a piece of bread.
