SMOKER AND AUCTION

A pleasant and successful even-
ing was enjoyed by a large assem-
bly last Saturday. Loud applause
was given the Vancouver enter
tainers under the direction of D.
Andrews who is himself, an able
Scotch comedian. Other contribu-
tions well received were a whistle
solo by Fred Stirling; recitation.
“The Shooting of Dan McGrew”,
by Fred Clegg of New Westmin-
ster; and some “Tall Yarns” by
Jack Aitkin. The auction, conduct-
ea by Joe Heath, was a great suc-
cess and netted a respectable sum
for the Overseas Fund) Many
thanks are due those who so kind-
ly donated the goods for auction,

18 to 30 years, education must be
High School Entrance or better
