GRANNY TYSON'S WHITE FRUIT CAKE Pearl Tyson lL @.. butter 2c. sultana raisins 1-1/2 c. granulated sugar 1 c. candied pineapple (cut) 6 eggs 1/2 c. peel (finely cut) 1/4 c. milk 1 c. red cherries (whole) 2-1/2 c. sifted flour 1 c. almonds (blanched and 3 tsp. baking powder sliced) 1 Tbsp. vanilla Cream butter; add sugar. Beat together until thick. Add egg yolks, beat thoroughly. Add flour, baking powder and milk. Dredge all the fruit with a little flour then add to batter. Beat white of eggs stiffly and fold into batter. Addvanilla. Bake 1 hour in 325 degree oven, in paper lined pan which is well greased. Large Christmas round cake. MIRAC LE WHIP CAKE Mrs. D. Strom 1 c. Miracle Whip 1 c. boiling water 2c. flour 1 c. white sugar 1/2 c. cocoa 2 tsp. baking soda Mix sugar and cocoa and add Miracle Whip; mix well. Then add flour, fold in well, add hot water in which baking soda has been added. ‘Bake in greased pan at 350 degrees approximately 35 minutes. POUND CAKE Mrs. N. Wellwood 2/3 c. Crisco 2-1/4 c. Snag flour 1-1/4 c. white sugar 1 large tsp.. baking powder 3 eggs 1 small tsp. salt 2/3 c. milk 1 tsp. almond flavoring Mix Crisco, sugar, milk and WELL BEATEN EGGS. Sift flour three times, then mix dry ingredients together; add to above mentioned mix. Add flavoring. Put in deep loaf tin and bake 1 hour at 300 degrees. DATE-NUT XMAS CONFECTION Mrs. Jean Wyngaert 3 c. whole Brazil nuts 3/4 c. flour 1 lb. pitted dates (whole) 1/2 tsp. salt 1c. glazed cherries (whole) 3 eggs 3/4 c. sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 tsp. baking powder Put Brazil nuts, dates and cherries into large bowl.
