For large groups of people, pits made of cinder
or cement blocks 342 blocks wide, 3 blocks high
and as long as required for the size of the
crowd being served, have been found very
satisfactory. Experience shows about 10 feet
of pit are required for each 100 chicken
halves to be barbecued.
