Lemon Sauce
1 T. butter
2 T. corn starch
Mix together till smooth over medium heat
Add:
1% cup boiling water
1 cup sugar
1 T. lemon flavoring
pinch salt
Serve warm over white cake.

Waffle Sauce
3 cups milk
%4 cup sugar
3 round tablespoonfuls flour
pinch of salt
2 eggs separated
vanilla
Mix yolks with milk and add to dry ingredients. Cook over low heat till slightly
thickened. Beat egg whites till stiff and mix cooked custard slowly into egg whites.
Serve on waffles alone or with strawberries.
