Sift together baking powder, flour, and salt. Cream Sugar, oil and butter. Add eggs, one at a time. Add sifted ingredients. Add milk. Beat thoroughly. Take 4 batter and pour in pan. Mix 3 tbsp. brown sugar and 1 tsp. cinnamon. Sprinkle 4% over batter; add rest of batter and sprinkle on remainder of sugar and cinnamon. Bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees. Gwen Mander CORGE (HUNGARIAN SNOWBALLS) 10 egg yolks 1 tsp. vanilla or 2 whole eggs rum extract 2 tbsp. icing sugar 2 c. all-purpose flour Beat the egg yolks and eggs until light. Add the icing sugar and flavoring. Mix in the flour with your hands adding an extra cup of flour if needed to keep dough manageable. Cut dough into three equal parts. Roll each out thin as a knife blade. Cut into small Squares and make slits in each square two or three places. Pick up squares carefully and place in deep hot fat cooking as for doughnuts, turning once. When done, remove and sprinkle with icing sugar. Use half recipe for small batch.
