{ ee ae f I - r q i . q i s ————__ = HAWAIIAN PINEAPPLE UPSIDE DOWN CAKE I-can (1 lb. 41/2 oz.) sliced 1/2 cc. brown sugar or crushed pineapple 1 pkg. from twin pack white 1/4 c. Northern Dairies or yellow cake mix butter or margarine Drain pineapple well. Melt butter in pan. Remove from heat and stir in brown sugar. Arrange pineapple and cherries in sugar mixture. If using pineapple slices blend slightly to come up sides of pan. Prepare cake mix batter and pour over all in pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 50 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean. Loosen edges of cake, cover with serving plate, invert and lift out of baking pan. Serve warm. Northern Dairies 1/4 c. nuts milk 1 tsp. cinnamon 3 corflour 1/2 tsp. cloves 3 eggs 2 Tbsp. molasses 1 Tbsp. baking powder Cream butter and sugar. Add beaten eggs. Sift flour, baking powder, salt and add alternately with the milk. Add flavoring. Divide batter into 2 parts. To one part add raisins, nuts, cinnamon, cloves and molasses. Put dark mixture in bottom of pan and plain on top. Bake in a moderate oven until well done. Takes about 1 hour. Northern Dairies 1/2 tsp. salt milk 1 egg 2c. flour Northern Dairies butter, size of small egg Cream butter and sugar, add egg and beat well. Stir in half the dry ingredients, half the milk and beat well. Sift rest of flour, add blueberries and stir lightly in the flour to coat them. Add to batter and mix well.
