2 - 22 - COOKIES “yi ALMOND COCOANUT BARS 1 Cup soar 1 cup brown sugar + cup oatmeal % cup flour % cup brown sugar % tsp. baking powder % cup butter %, tsp. salt 3/4 cup nutmeats (almonds) 1 cup flaked cocoanut 2 eggs % cup thoroughly drained pineapple Blend % cup butter and % cup brown sugar. Add 1 cup flour and oatmeal. Pack in bottom of a well greased pan. Bake at 350° for 10 minutes. Beat eggs thoroughly add brown sugar. Add flour, baking powder and salt, beat again, then add cocoanut, pineapple and nutmeats. Spoon over baked layer. Bake in moderate oven 350° for 25 minutes or until golden brown. BROWNIE SQUARES 4 cup butter or margarine 1% cups flour 2 cups brown sugar 4, cup milk % tsp. salt % cup walnuts (chopped) 1 tsp. vanilla % Cup cocoa 4 @ggs Cream butter, sugar, salt and vanilla until smooth.
